Press Release - SRP Adds Features and Value to EDS Claims Processing Application

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Web Portal Adds Capacity and Efficiency to Claims Management

HASTINGS, Minnesota – April 4, 2010
– SRP Computer Solutions is excited to announce a capstone in the process of customizing a dental/medical claims processing application for Electronic Dental Services (EDS): a fully-integrated web user interface that connects EDS' clients in a real-time manner with their data so they can instantly and easily check the status of their claims. "This latest innovation will provide huge benefits to our claims processing," said EDS President Gary Griffith.

"EDS began with a software application that was solid but didn't have all the functionality we really needed," said Griffith. Seeing the value in the software's core concept, EDS turned to the application innovators at SRP to bring the vision of what they wanted the software to do in line with the reality of the dental/medical claim processing business. "We had a list of functions we wanted and the programmers at SRP made it possible for us take our application to the next level," Griffith said.

What resulted was a nearly flawless blend of cloud computing that punched directly into the core of how data is delivered to insurance companies. "We knew we could take this application and turn it from a go cart to a racing engine," head programmer Paul Simonsen said. "We appreciated the trust EDS invested in us and we delivered." "Absolutely they did," echoed Griffith. "And this latest development makes it even easier for our customers to use."

The challenge has always been to take sensitive dental and medical records and guarantee both the personal and commercial security of the documents between several handlers over the Internet. The application also had to communicate with several different electronic protocols across dozens of platforms since EDS acts as a middleman broker for dental/medical insurance claims. "The software logic had to be flawless and uncompromising," SRP's Simonsen said. "A single error could mean disaster on either end."

SRP's innovative approach to problem solving allowed EDS to become ultra-efficient. "With the help of SRP we were able to increase our customer size about 400%," states EDS' Griffith.

EDS continues to work with SRP to further develop this unique application as technologies change and milestones, like the web interface, are achieved. Further development will take substantial advantage of the swiftly changing software engineering that makes up the infrastructure of today's cloud-based office.

"We have always been very impressed with SRP's innovative and business-oriented solutions," said EDS president Gary Griffith.

Press Release - SRP Adds RetailWare To Its Product Portfolio

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SRP Expands its Innovative Solutions into Retail Software

PLACENTIA, California – February 19, 2010
- In a bold and forward-thinking move into a lateral market SRP Computer Solutions, Placentia, CA, has acquired the assets of RetailWare, Inc. a software development company featuring comprehensive sales transaction applications for small businesses that deal primarily with the services-buying public.

RetailWare was initially developed in the late-80s to serve the scuba diving industry but was expanded into the bicycle rental, sporting goods and water sports arenas that have unique needs specific to those industries.

RetailWare features a comprehensive, turnkey solution for retailers. The application is “software-as-a-service” (SaaS), these days more commonly called a “cloud-computing application,” and has been far ahead of the current trends since it was developed. RetailWare is one of the few complete transaction solutions available to retailers who don’t have an IT department or tech resources. Since all transactions, backups and upgrades are done on RetailWare’s servers through the Internet, the small to medium retailer is given the freedom to do what he or she does best - serve their customers.

SRP will retain RetailWare’s president, Steve Botes, as an integral part of the transition as SRP expands to become a major player in retail software applications using RetailWare’s solutions base. “We are excited that Steve has agreed to remain involved with the product and join our team. Not only will this make the transition seamless, his deep knowledge of the retail industry will give us a strong advantage for innovating and growing the RetailWare product,” said SRP president Don Bakke. “This is a natural and logical evolution for SRP,” Bakke continued, “since RetailWare was developed using the same programming platforms that SRP uses for its applications and Internet solutions.” SRP is an acknowledged leader in a wide variety of other industry software solutions including manufacturing, insurance, and automotive industries, specializing in custom-built desktop and cloud-connected applications. This move will seamlessly blend RetailWare’s mature and solid software package with SRP’s 20+ years of expertise in database engines and scalable application development.

SRP is expected to both renew and re-invigorate the commitment to this unique retail application with updated and more robust software infrastructure using their development platforms. The goal is to move beyond the current limited markets that are served by RetailWare and into more diverse retail arenas where SRP’s scalability engines can be super-utilized.

Bakke and Botes will work in tandem to continue to develop RetailWare’s current retail customer relationships and then to define new markets with which to serve. “I can’t think of a more desirable situation,” says Botes, “than to fuse these two companies’ strengths.” “We’re all very excited by this move,” said Bakke, “and we envision RetailWare becoming the software solution for many retail outlets.”

SRP to Present on "Cloud Computing" Topics at 2010 Revelation Software Users' Conference

Revelation Software will be holding their 2010 Users' Conference at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas from April 27 - 30. In addition to showcasing the 9.2 release of OpenInsight, Revelation will be unveiling their latest entry into the web-application space: O4W. This product marks a significant change in the Revelation database environment as consultants and clients look to move away from traditional local area network (LAN) and into leveraging the power of the internet.

SRP will be on hand delivering three highly relevant presentations directed at developers who are interested in extending their knowledge into the world wide web. Joining SRP will be Clay Borne of CLB IT who will also present on some very exciting technology developments. Please read on for the official descriptions of each presentation.

Designer’s Challenge – Preparing Applications for the Future using MVC Concepts
Don Bakke, President, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.

Core applications are no longer confined to the desktop and traditional LAN-based architectures. Browsers and smartphones are just a couple of the ways in which applications are now being delivered to end users. For most OpenInsight developers this requires a change in how applications are designed and programmed. Model-view-controller (MVC) is an architectural approach that addresses this need. Attendees in this presentation will see how SRP has been adapting these principles.

Designer’s Challenge – Pluggable and Extensible Software using SOA Techniques
Kevin Fournier, Senior Developer, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.

Software applications are commonly being assembled with third-party components. These add-ons need to operate seamlessly within existing environments. An industry standard approach is to utilize a service oriented architecture (SOA) so that developers can tie these disparate systems together with relative ease. Even self-contained applications can benefit from this design concept. Advantages of this approach are software programs that are portable, pluggable, and easier to maintain. Attendees in this presentation will see how SRP has been adapting these principles.

Designer’s Challenge – Web-based Applications using Drupal and OpenInsight
Paul Simonsen, Senior Developer, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.
Jason Green, Systems Administrator, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.

Drupal has become one of the most popular open-source content management systems for various organizations. Developers are drawn to it because it is free, feature rich, and supports dozens of add-on modules such as e-commerce, blogs, galleries, and more. While Drupal natively supports SQL platforms, it provides an abstraction layer for interfacing with other databases. Attendees in this presentation will see how SRP has been connecting Drupal to OpenInsight to create powerful web-based applications.

Designer’s Challenge – Web-based Applications using Adobe Flex and OpenInsight
Clay Borne, President, CLB IT

Rich Internet Applications (RIA) are quickly blurring the line between desktop and web-top applications. Adobe Flex has risen to be one of the most popular platforms for developing these full featured systems. Through Flex technology developers can easily deliver desktop-like applications for multiple platforms without being tied down by traditional LAN-based networks. Attendees in this presentation will see how CLB IT has been developing Flex applications with OpenInsight on the backend.

Press Release - AMS Software Chooses SRP

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SRP Computer Solutions, Inc. Helps AMS Software, Inc. Upgrade and Enhance its Dispatch and Scheduling Software

WILSONVILLE, Oregon - September 22, 2009
– AMS Software, Inc. of Wilsonville, Oregon has hired Placentia-based SRP Computer Solutions, Inc. to upgrade and enhance its line of specialty software applications for dispatching and scheduling the mobile fleets of its customers.

AMS is taking advantage of many of the programming utilities that SRP has developed to enhance the software application’s user interface and has contracted with SRP to develop some unique scheduling interface tools.

"Over the past 20 years our original DOS-based programs have assisted our customers in completing well over 2 million delivery tickets. We needed an environment in Windows that was just as stable and that would take advantage of the visual graphic environment to improve the effectiveness of our customer’s dispatchers." said Dan Unrein, general manager of AMS Software, Inc. "SRP’s FrameWorks program plus an SRP custom developed multi-user drag and drop scheduling interface gives us the stability and the enhanced user interface we were seeking."

"SRP helped develop systems that support the order entry, scheduling and pricing for our customers in the concrete delivery and concrete pumping industries. The visual order scheduling with drag and drop interactive functionality has greatly improved the effectiveness of our customer's dispatchers. Our next task of integrating order location mapping function is well underway and is being well received by our customers. The next move will be to integrate the dispatching / scheduling functions with on-board GPS units in the mobile field trucks. The ultimate goal is to be able to complete and print the delivery ticket for each delivery in the cab of the truck."

Unrein said the ultimate goal for AMS Software, Inc. is to have a complete modular fleet management system that covers a customer's needs from beginning to end allowing them to start wherever they feel their need is greatest – and know they have a clear path to expand the technology in any direction in their operation, whether they are located in the U.S., Canada, England or other points around the globe.

"SRP has been very flexible with us," Unrein said. "They work with us to give us what we need."

About SRP
SRP Computer Solutions, Inc. is a leader in highly flexible and low maintenance software with

information, visit srpcs.com.

About AMS
AMS Software, Inc. develops and supports specialized software systems for the dispatch and scheduling functions in the concrete delivery businesses, both ready mix and volumetric, as well as the concrete pumping businesses. They have a specialized series of applications for each of these businesses and include job statusing and GPS location services in each series. Their software is designed to match the work flow of the organization and to deliver a stable technology platform on which to improve the efficiencies of each company that implements their software tools. AMS Software, Inc. has been delivering software solutions to this industry for nearly 20 years and continues to innovate for the industry as the new technologies become available.
SRP Invited to Give Four Presentations at 2008 Revelation User's Conference.

Although SRP normally presents three informative topics at these annual conferences, Revelation Software has extended a special invitation for SRP to provide a fourth presentation at the 2008 User's Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year's theme is Playing to Win, and SRP's presentation subjects are definitely geared to help the developer and end user have the upper hand with their database applications. Accept our personal invitation to come and learn from one of the most respected consultants and developers in Revelation Software development tools. For more information, visit the Revelation Conference website or read on to see an advanced summary of what SRP will be speaking on.

A Winning Pair - OpenInsight and U2 Databases

Don Bakke, President, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.

By
itself, OpenInsight is a very powerful and scalable database product
that can serve the needs of most small to medium sized businesses.
Occasionally, companies require a more robust and enterprise capable
system. In the multi-valued market the leader of the pack is IBM's U2
database product line. However, while many attempts have been made to
extend U2 systems into the modern world of GUI and the Web, very few
make this easy and flexible. OpenInsight for U2 brings the best of both
worlds together.

Attendees in this presentation will discover:

The performance advantages of U2 versus OpenInsight database operations

Suggestions on how to leverage U2 with pure OpenInsight applications

Best practices tips on developing OpenInsight for U2 applications

Ideas on how to market OpenInsight tools to existing U2 shops

This presentation is geared to anyone interested in seeing the potential
advantages of combining the power of the OpenInsight front-end toolset
with the performance of U2 databases. No prior knowledge of either
product is necessary.

Your Ace up the Sleeve - Enhancing Applications with SRP Utilities

Frank Tomeo, Senior Developer, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.

As
applications become more complex and sophisticated so do the utilities
that are required to support them. As a leader and pioneer in advanced
OpenInsight application development, SRP has written several tools to
aid in many of the tasks that require optimum performance or ease of
use. Most of these are now available in a free product called SRP
Utilities. This presentation will provide a thorough overview of each
utility and how they can best be used. Some of the features covered
will include:

High performance sorting without having to prepare the data as with V119

Lightening fast array manipulation such as column reordering and conversion to a LIST format

Simple method for managing the Window's Registry

Command line execution in memory without the command line window

And much more...

This presentation is geared for all levels of OpenInsight development. Everyone is encouraged to attend as
one or more of these utilities will likely spark new ideas for product
features or enhanced development techniques.

Deal your Best Hand - Deploying Applications and Upgrades using Nullsoft

Kevin Fournier, Senior Developer, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.

For
years InstallShield has been the leader in product installation.
However, as its prices have increased and its toolset has grown more
complex, software vendors everywhere are turning to alternatives. The
Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS) has emerged as the product of
choice for the flexibility and complete control it gives to the
developer. Furthermore, NSIS is free!

Nevertheless, NSIS comes
with learning curves and using it to install deployment upgrades
requires some outside help. Attendees will receive knowledge and free
material for the following:

Setting up NSIS to automate the creation of full application installs

Templates and utilities for creating installs for application upgrades or third-party tools

Information on successfully installing to various platforms and scenarios

This presentation is vital for any vertical application vendor that needs to
ship OpenInsight software products into the marketplace with a
professional polish. However, general consultants might also want to
consider this as a way to deploy updates to their clients.

Stacking the Deck - Mastering OpenInsight's Event Chain

Paul Simonsen, Senior Developer, SRP Computer Solutions, Inc.

Applications
would cease to work without the benefit of event handlers. Therefore, a
proper understanding of the event handler chain is essential to get the
most productivity and functionality out of OpenInsight. Now with direct
support for creating and managing Promoted Events within the Event
Designer tool, mastering the event chain is easier than ever before.
Attendees will learn the following:

Tips on using OpenInsight's Promoted Generator Code utility

Examples of developing global functionality within the application

Explanation of how Script, System, and Quick-event handlers work together

Issues related to how inherited applications affect the event chain

This presentation will benefit any developer who desires a better
understanding of OpenInsight event handlers. These principles will lead
to more powerful and better managed applications.
