Web Portal Adds Capacity and Efficiency to Claims Management

HASTINGS, Minnesota – April 4, 2010 – SRP Computer Solutions is excited to announce a capstone in the process of customizing a dental/medical claims processing application for Electronic Dental Services (EDS): a fully-integrated web user interface that connects EDS' clients in a real-time manner with their data so they can instantly and easily check the status of their claims. "This latest innovation will provide huge benefits to our claims processing," said EDS President Gary Griffith.

"EDS began with a software application that was solid but didn't have all the functionality we really needed," said Griffith. Seeing the value in the software's core concept, EDS turned to the application innovators at SRP to bring the vision of what they wanted the software to do in line with the reality of the dental/medical claim processing business. "We had a list of functions we wanted and the programmers at SRP made it possible for us take our application to the next level," Griffith said.

What resulted was a nearly flawless blend of cloud computing that punched directly into the core of how data is delivered to insurance companies. "We knew we could take this application and turn it from a go cart to a racing engine," head programmer Paul Simonsen said. "We appreciated the trust EDS invested in us and we delivered." "Absolutely they did," echoed Griffith. "And this latest development makes it even easier for our customers to use."

The challenge has always been to take sensitive dental and medical records and guarantee both the personal and commercial security of the documents between several handlers over the Internet. The application also had to communicate with several different electronic protocols across dozens of platforms since EDS acts as a middleman broker for dental/medical insurance claims. "The software logic had to be flawless and uncompromising," SRP's Simonsen said. "A single error could mean disaster on either end."

SRP's innovative approach to problem solving allowed EDS to become ultra-efficient. "With the help of SRP we were able to increase our customer size about 400%," states EDS' Griffith.

EDS continues to work with SRP to further develop this unique application as technologies change and milestones, like the web interface, are achieved. Further development will take substantial advantage of the swiftly changing software engineering that makes up the infrastructure of today's cloud-based office.

SRP Expands its Innovative Solutions into Retail Software

PLACENTIA, California – February 19, 2010 - In a bold and forward-thinking move into a lateral market SRP Computer Solutions, Placentia, CA, has acquired the assets of RetailWare, Inc. a software development company featuring comprehensive sales transaction applications for small businesses that deal primarily with the services-buying public.

RetailWare was initially developed in the late-80s to serve the scuba diving industry but was expanded into the bicycle rental, sporting goods and water sports arenas that have unique needs specific to those industries.

RetailWare features a comprehensive, turnkey solution for retailers. The application is “software-as-a-service” (SaaS), these days more commonly called a “cloud-computing application,” and has been far ahead of the current trends since it was developed. RetailWare is one of the few complete transaction solutions available to retailers who don’t have an IT department or tech resources. Since all transactions, backups and upgrades are done on RetailWare’s servers through the Internet, the small to medium retailer is given the freedom to do what he or she does best - serve their customers.

SRP to Present on "Cloud Computing" Topics at 2010 Revelation Software Users' Conference

Revelation Software will be holding their 2010 Users' Conference at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas from April 27 - 30. In addition to showcasing the 9.2 release of OpenInsight, Revelation will be unveiling their latest entry into the web-application space: O4W. This product marks a significant change in the Revelation database environment as consultants and clients look to move away from traditional local area network (LAN) and into leveraging the power of the internet.

SRP will be on hand delivering three highly relevant presentations directed at developers who are interested in extending their knowledge into the world wide web. Designer’s Challenge – Preparing Applications for the Future using MVC Concepts

Browsers and smartphones are just a couple of the ways in which applications are now being delivered to end users. Designer’s Challenge – Pluggable and Extensible Software using SOA Techniques

Adobe Flex has risen to be one of the most popular platforms for developing these full featured systems. WILSONVILLE, Oregon - September 22, 2009 – AMS Software, Inc. of Wilsonville, Oregon has hired Placentia-based SRP Computer Solutions, Inc. to upgrade and enhance its line of specialty software applications for dispatching and scheduling the mobile fleets of its customers.

AMS is taking advantage of many of the programming utilities that SRP has developed to enhance the software application’s user interface and has contracted with SRP to develop some unique scheduling interface tools.

"Over the past 20 years our original DOS-based programs have assisted our customers in completing well over 2 million delivery tickets. We needed an environment in Windows that was just as stable and that would take advantage of the visual graphic environment to improve the effectiveness of our customer’s dispatchers." said Dan Unrein, general manager of AMS Software, Inc. "SRP’s FrameWorks program plus an SRP custom developed multi-user drag and drop scheduling interface gives us the stability and the enhanced user interface we were seeking."

"SRP helped develop systems that support the order entry, scheduling and pricing for our customers in the concrete delivery and concrete pumping industries. The visual order scheduling with drag and drop interactive functionality has greatly improved the effectiveness of our customer's dispatchers. Our next task of integrating order location mapping function is well underway and is being well received by our customers. The next move will be to integrate the dispatching / scheduling functions with on-board GPS units in the mobile field trucks.
